Their furniture is inspired by the French colonial period with dark timber floors and light, flowery fabrics. Each room or suite features a lounge area, a ceiling fan and individual air–conditioning. The spacious bathrooms are charmingly furnished with amenities reminding of colonial times. Floor to ceiling French windows open wide onto the veranda. In the Deluxe Rooms, a wide four poster bed creates a fully romantic ambience which is enhanced by light linen drapery flowing from the ceiling. The Junior Suites offer a large free standing colonial style bathtub, a lounge and a larger veranda. In the Senior Suite, a spacious bathroom adjoins the romantic bedroom. The private dining room and lounge area with guest bathroom faces onto a spacious terrace. The Ocean Suite, finally, is significantly larger than the Senior Suite with free standing bathtub, own garden and external shower.
For the guest’s ultimate relaxation, a butler service is available 24 hours a day. The restaurants of Le Telfair offer a whole spectrum of gastronomy, with a choice of “show-time kitchen” at the Main Restaurant, fish with an Asian touch at the Seafood Restaurant or a thoroughly colonial experience at the historical Chateau de Bel Ombre itself. The main bar offers fine wines and spirits.
